Playwrights Horizons Theatre Debut

Sophie will be making her NYU Playwrights Horizons Debut this weekend in the role of the strict and rule based General Lucia in the new play Space Pirates, written by fellow NYU students Chris Teves and directed by Jacob Augustin. Stonestreet Studios History

Stonestreet Studios  NYU Tisch

2022

This past September, Sophie returned to Stonestreet Studios for the fifth time in her academic career. She is the only student to have attended Stonestreet for five times, passing prestigious alumni like Miles Teller (Whiplash) and Daniel Ramirez (Top Gun) who attended the studio twice. Sophie is also starring in a feature film titled Zasha as her final project with Stonestreet Studios, directed by Alex Berg.

This past May, Sophie shot her first NYU Thesis Film with the team of Bradley Kaufman, Matthew Kutzin, and Jack Homesley

NYU ETW: It Was All a Dream

2022

NYU Tisch Drama

Back in Spring 2022, Sophie portrayed the charismatic yet mysterious Host in the original Student Work Musical "It was All a Dream" by fellow NYU student Olivia Amicangioli who wrote and conceived the script and lyrics. Well received by the NYU crowd, this musical is currently being converted into a film and will begin shooting in January of 2023.

In April 2021, Sophie auditioned and was accepted into the prestigious Classical Studio at NYU, a year long studio program that is very selective in the thirteen people that end up joining their company. Previous Alumni of this program include Brandon Uranowitz (An American in Paris), Nik Walker (Ain’t Too Proud/Hamilton) Jack Falahee (How to Get Away With Murder) and Rachel Chavkin (Tony Award Winning Director of Hadestown).

Stonestreet Conservatory

Sophie returned to Stonestreet Studios for the beginning of her third year at NYU Tisch and was cast in two Micromovies, Dear Arnold, directed by Alana Atkins Barretts, and Keyed, directed by Kate Baggott. Soon to be available on Instagram, Facebook and Vimeo!

Sophie played Kit, one of the leads in Back When We Felt Clean written by Marissa Riggs and directed by Syona Varty for the first ever NYU Playwrights Horizons Zoom Theatre Festival!

Commonwealth Shakespeare Company

2020

Regional Theate

Sophie was accepted into the very first Commonwealth Shakespeare Company Virtual Apprenticeship in Boston, Massachusetts to be trained in Shakespearean verse and text with the heads of the company! She will return next year as a Master Apprentice and currently has been elected to serve as the President of the Alumni Committee!

Sophie just wrote and starred in her first MicroMovie at NYU Stonestreet Studios, The Spare Bridesmaid, directed by Stonestreet Studios founder and executive director Gary O. Bennett. Now available to watch on Stonestreet's social media handles! Now the video has 1000 views on Facebook!
